Faith formation is not just for kids. It is a lifelong journey. If you are an adult, an adult with a child in our Faith Formation Program or an adult parishioner without any children in our program, we hope that you will join us in our Family Faith Events offered throughout the year. Some events are geared primarily toward adults and some are geared toward children and adults together. In either case, all members of our parish family (young and old alike) are always welcome to all events.
Please check back often, as our Family Faith Events are subject to change and will be updated throughout the seasons of the year.

Two Amazing New Year's Resolution Opportunities that you can begin any time of the year:
As we make plans and resolutions to better ourselves each year, the area often lost or forgotten is our faith life. Starting this January 1st, I had two opportunities for you to prayerfully consider. If you hadn't started, it is not too late. You can begin either of these opportunities any time.
The first opportunity is through The Bible in a Year podcast with Fr. Mike Schmitz. This is a daily podcast that goes through the entire bible while offering insightful commentaries on the readings. Released in 2020, this was the #1 Apple Podcast for two years in a row – reaching millions of people around the world. I was one of them. If you’ve ever wanted to read the bible cover to cover but didn’t know where to start or got lost somewhere in the middle, this podcast is for you. For 365 days, you won’t just read the entire bible, you’ll understand how all the pieces fit together to tell one amazing story that continues in your own life today. From this podcast, Catholics from across the globe have experienced the transforming power of God’s Word and have felt a deeper and closer connection to God and the Catholic Faith. I have too, and so I cannot recommend this opportunity highly enough.
The podcasts are completely free. Each daily episode is about 20 minutes long and you can listen to them while driving to work, drinking your morning coffee or however you like. All you have to do is click on “play” and allow God to transform your life day by day. For more information, go to ascensionpress.com and click on “The Bible in a Year” under the “Free Media” tab.
In addition to following along at home, you are welcome to join fellow parishioners who meet after the noon Mass on the last Sunday of each month in the little house next to the church to share our thoughts and experience over coffee and refreshments. No need to register, simply walk in on the last Sunday of every month and join us!
The second opportunity – is another podcast called The Catechism in a Year, also with Fr. Mike Schmitz. This is being released for the first time on January 1, 2023. Similar to The Bible in a Year, this podcast will go through the entire Catechism of the Catholic Faith with Fr. Mike as your insightful guide. The Catechism is not just a reference book. Through this free daily podcast, you’ll discover a new love and clear understanding for what we believe as Catholics and why we believe it. For more information, go to ascensionpress.com.

5 Eucharistic Miracles on Display:
Thanks to all the Year-2 Confirmation students who created five posters depicting five different Eucharistic Miracles from across the world and across the centuries. Many parishioners came to see them on display inside the little house after Sunday Masses.
Fr. Paul's "Meaning of the Eucharist" Lecture:
All are welcome to join Fr. Paul for a two-part lecture on the meaning of the Eucharist. Part One takes place Tuesday, November 8 at 7:00 p.m. in the Rectory and Part Two will take place the following Tuesday, November 15 at 7:00 p.m. in the Rectory.
The Beauty of the Bible:
All are welcome to join us on Wednesday, November 30 inside the Rectory, either at 1:00 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. to learn how to read through the bible and better understand Salvation History as well as how to pray with the bible. Sign up sheets are inside the church.
Children's Pre-Advent Scripture Gift:
A generous parishioner has donated Scriptural Advent Calendars for all our children in the Faith Formation Program. Students (with one parent) will meet in the little house after the the following Masses for a brief tutorial on utilzing scripture during the Christmas Season with the Advent Calendar: K - 4th after the 10:00 a.m.Mass, 5th - 8th after the 12:00 p.m. Mass.

The Mass:
There really is much more going on during the Mass than we sometimes realize or recall. For the second year in a row, we began the Faith Formation Program Year with a viewing of the video that walks through the Mass and demonstrates how everything we do and say during the Mass has meaning. This Family Faith Event was required for all students (and at least one parent) in our Faith Formation Program, but all parishioners were welcome to attend.
