Faith formation is not just for kids. It is a lifelong journey. If you are an adult, an adult with a child in our Faith Formation Program or an adult parishioner without any children in our program, we hope that you will join us in our Family Faith Events offered throughout the year. Some events are geared primarily toward adults and some are geared toward children and adults together. In either case, all members of our parish family (young and old alike) are always welcome to all events.
Please check back often, as our Family Faith Events are subject to change and will be updated throughout the seasons of the year.
Lent and Easter Season, 2022
Name in Vain Forgiveness Campaign:
This parish-wide campaign is a very simple yet effective spriritual work of mercy that anyone (kindergarten age through adult) can do during Lent to exercise their love of God and neighbor. Based on the second commandment, every time you happen to hear someone taking the name of the Lord in vain, you silently yet sincerely pray a one-sentence prayer on behalf of that person, to ask for God's mercy. Namely, "Father forgive them, they know not what they do." It's that simple! Free wristbands, keychains and wooden nickels are available inside the church (while supplies last) to help you remember as you go about your days throughout Lent.
No Greater Love (A 5-Part Series):
All are welcome to join us as we take a biblical walk through Christ's Passion, revealing His great love for us. Walk step-by-step with Jesus from the garden of Gethsemane to Mount Calvary. Filmed on location, this 5-part series is the next best thing to actually going on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. It will be held inside the church for 5 consecutive wednesdays (March 9, 16, 23, 30, and April 6) from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Sign-up sheets are located inside the church.
Learning to Pray the Rosary:
If you would like to learn how to pray the Rosary or would like to include this opportunity as something the whole family can do together this Lent, please join us on Monday, March 21 at 6:00 p.m. inside the church. We will learn how to pray the Rosary and then pray the Rosary together for peace in our world, our country and our homes. Those who are familiar with praying the Rosary but would like to join us as we pray together, are more than welcome and encouraged to join us. We will conclude prior to the "Welcome Home to Healing" extra Monday evening confession times that start at 7:00 p.m. Sign up sheets for the Rosary are located inside the church.
Divine Mercy 101:
This powerful 50-minute video is a wonderful way to prepare for the Feast of Divine Mercy Sunday which is coming up on April 24 (the Sunday after Easter). Whether you would like to learn about Divine Mercy or get a quick refresher on the message and the devotion, please join us inside the church at either 1:00 p.m. or at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6. Sign up sheets are located inside the church for both showings.
